Passenger-side seat occupied recognition function - GF91.60-P-1100T
MODEL 211.0/2 except CODE (494) USA version
MODEL 211.0/2 as of 1.6.05 except CODE (U18) Automatic child seat recognition (ACSR)
Function
By evaluating the force sensing resistors integrated in the front passenger seat occupied recognition (B41/1), the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) recognizes the occupation status of the front passenger seat.
On vehicles up to 31.5.07, the occupation status is evaluated by the restraint systems control unit in order to decide on whether to activate the relevant restraint equipment.
On vehicles as of 1.6.07, the front passenger seat occupation status information is only used for the seat belt reminder warning.
Optical status indication
The automatic child seat recognition airbag OFF indicator lamp (N72/1e1) in the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) is always switched on for a short period of time (lamp check) when circuit 15 is switched on.
If a front passenger seat is recognized to be not occupied, the airbag Off indicator lamp is switched off.
