Dynamic enrichment prevents jerking when accelerating.

During fast opening of throttle valves the mixture leans out briefly and is enriched briefly during fast closing of the throttle valves. This results in mixture adaptation in which an additional or a reduced quantity of fuel is metered to the engine by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit depending on the performance map.

The ignition angle is also adjusted to "advanced" for acceleration.
