Function 

Active ventilation of the seat cushion and backrest is possible in three ventilation stages using the seat ventilation integrated in the left/right seats.

In the HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit (N25/7) the logics process for the seat ventilation control is realized in three power stages.

The left front seat ventilation switch (N72/1s13) or right front seat ventilation switch (N72/1s14) of the seat ventilation are designed as buttons. Actuation of the button is read in by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) and forwarded via the CAN interior to the HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit (N25/7).

The HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit (N25/7) issues a control voltage dependent on the current power stage to an external blower regulator. This blower regulator controls - dependent on this control voltage - the supply voltage of the left front seat cushion ventilation motor group (M18/9) and the left front seat backrest ventilation motor group (M18/10) or the supply voltage of the right front seat cushion ventilation motor group (M18/11) and right front seat backrest ventilation motor group (M18/12).

The seat ventilation function is displayed by means of a number of blue LEDs in the left front seat ventilation switch (N72/1s13) or right front seat ventilation switch (N72/1s14). Depending on the desired ventilation stage one to three LEDs are energized.

For reliable startup of the fan motors these are actuated irrespective of the following power stages when switching on for a period of 0.5 s at power stage 3.
