Remove/install starter - AR15.30-P-7100SZ

ENGINE 275 in MODEL 216, 221

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1 Disconnect ground lines from batteries   AR54.10-P-0003SX
2 Remove lower engine compartment paneling Vehicles without code (Z07) Top protection AR61.20-P-1105SX
Vehicles with code (Z07) Top protection (Model 221) AR61.20-P-1105SXS
3 Remove bolt (1) from starter (M1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1003-01G 
4 Unscrew nuts (2), remove bolt (4) and remove heat shield (3) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1004-01G 
5 Pull out protective cap (5) and dismantle electrical connection circuit 30 (6) at starter (M1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1001-01G 
6 Remove electrical connection terminal 50 (7) at starter (M1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1002-01G 
7 Remove bolt (8) from starter (M1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1003-01G 
8 Take starter (M1) down and out    
INSPECT Checking     
9 Check starter ring gear at drive plate for wear and damage When replacing the starter (M1)
IMPORTANT Rotate engine at center bolt for crankshaft in the direction of rotation.
 
10 Install in the reverse order
