2	Remove lower engine compartment paneling	Engine 274 in model 172	AR61.20-P-1105W

3	Detach alternator wiring harness holder at engine support and place to one side
4	Detach electrical wiring harness (1) on starter (M1)		AR15.30-P-7100-03MR
		Nut, connection for terminal designation 50	*BA15.30-P-1002-01J
		Nut, connection for terminal designation 30	*BA15.30-P-1001-01J
5	Remove screw/bolts (2) and remove starter (M1) from bottom	Bolt, starter to crankcase	*BA15.30-P-1003-01J
	Check
6	Check starter ring gear for wear and damage	When replacing the starter (M1). Rotate engine at center Bolt, crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation.
		Socket wrench bit If complaint present ↓ Replace flywheel	Figure
7	Install in the reverse order
