Remove/Install Alternator - AR15.40-P-5032MLJ

MODEL 292 with ENGINE 157, 278 

	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Remove/install
1	Detach ground line from battery		AR54.10-P-0003GZ
	Notes on battery		AH54.10-P-0001-01A
2	Remove front underfloor paneling		AR61.30-P-1001GQ
3	Loosen Active Roll Stabilization on both sides and lower	Model 166, 292 with engine 157, 278 with code 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM)
4	Loosen stabilizer bar on frame on one side	Model 166, 292 with engine 157, 278 except code 468 (ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM)
5	Unfasten bracket (8) for oil lines (9) on oil pan and place to one side
6	Unfasten screw/bolt (2) on thermostat
7	Detach pressure line (4) for P/S with bracket (3) and place to one side.	Model 166, 292 with engine 157
8	Unclip oil line of cooler	Model 166, 292 with engine 157
9	Remove poly-V belt		AR13.22-P-1202MLJ
10	Release and detach connector for electrical line 61 (D+) (6)
11	Detach cap (7), unscrew nut and remove electrical line for terminal (B+) (5) from alternator (G2)	Nut, circuit B+ to alternator	*BA15.40-P-1002-01F
12	Remove screw/bolts (1) for alternator (G2)	Bolt, alternator to timing case	*BA15.40-P-1001-01F
13	Take alternator (G2) down and out
14	Install in the reverse order
