Remove/Install Alternator - AR15.40-P-5032MFG

Engine 139 in model 118, 177, 247

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Disconnect ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003MFA
2 Remove charge air cooler.   AR09.41-P-0105MFG
3 Remove refrigerant compressor.   AR83.55-P-5310MFG
4 Remove guide pulley from poly-V belt clamping device.    
5 Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.    
6 Remove cover of nut (2).    
7 Remove nut (2).    
8 Remove electrical line (3) from alternator (G2).    
9 Remove screws (4). IMPORTANT Secure the alternator (G2) so that it does not fall down.  
10 Remove alternator (G2) downward.    
INSTALLING Install     
11 Install alternator (G2) and position on bracket.    
12 Screw in screws/bolts (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, alternator to bracket *BA15.40-P-1011-01F 
13 Install electric line (3) at alternator (G2).    
14 Attach nut (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, circuit B+ to alternator *BA15.40-P-1002-01F 
15 Install cover of nut (2).    
16 Connect and lock electrical connector (1).    
17 Attach guide pulley to poly-V belt clamping device. TORQUE SPECIFICATION M10 *BA00.10-P-1004-01A 
18 Install refrigerant compressor.   AR83.55-P-5310MFG
19 Install charge air cooler.   AR09.41-P-0105MFG
20 Attach ground line of the on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003MFA
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
21 Perform engine test run and check alternator (G2) for proper operation.    
HEADLESS SCREWS: BOLTS AND NUTS, COARSE-PITCH THREAD
