Remove/Install Coolant Temperature Sensor - AR15.60-P-2712XGC

Engine 177 in model 463

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove left air filter housing. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install upper engine cover after the leak test. AR09.10-P-1151XGC
2 Remove hose (2) from exhaust gas turbocharger. SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers Fig 3
3 Disconnect coolant hose (3). SPECIAL TOOL Clamp Fig 2
4 Remove coolant hose (3) from low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir and place to one side.   AR09.41-P-0001XGC
5 Remove boot (1) at left exhaust gas turbocharger and place to one side. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Clamp, boot to exhaust gas turbocharger/air filter *BA01.20-P-1003-01J 
6 Drain coolant.   AR20.00-P-1142XGC
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test.  
7 Release and disconnect electrical connector at coolant temperature sensor (B11/4).    
8 Unscrew bolt (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, temperature sensor bracket to crankcase *BA07.04-P-1002-01Q 
9 Remove coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) with retaining plate (5) in upward direction. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace seal.  
10 Remove retaining plate (5) from coolant temperature sensor (B11/4). When replacing the coolant temperature sensor (B11/4).  
11 Install in the reverse order.    
12 Perform ventilation routine of engine management control unit (MCM).    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
13 Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leaktightness and leaktightness.    
14 Install lower engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105XG
15 Install upper engine cover.   AR01.10-P-2405XGC
