Remove/Install Powertrain Control Unit - AR07.08-P-0002MFE

Engine 139, 260, 282, 608, 654 in model 118, 177, 247

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform commissioning of the powertrain control unit (N127). If the powertrain control unit (N127) is being replaced.  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06MFA
2 Release front left floor covering from center console and fold back until the powertrain control unit (N127) is accessible.    
3 Release and disconnect electrical connectors from powertrain control unit (N127).    
4 Release powertrain control unit (N127) from the locks (arrows A) and remove from the bracket.    
5 Install in the reverse order    
6 Connect vehicle diagnosis system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06MFA
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
7 Conduct engine test run while checking for proper operation of the engine.
