Remove/Install Alternator - AR15.40-P-5032MRI

Engine 264 in model 205, 253 

except code B01 (48V technology)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Clamp off ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003LW
2 Remove poly-V-belt.   AR13.22-P-1202MRI
3 Remove charge-air distributor.   AR09.41-P-8683MRI
4 Remove cap (1).    
5 Remove terminal B+ nut (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, circuit B+ to alternator *BA15.40-P-1002-01U 
6 Remove electric line circuit B+ (3) from alternator (G2).    
7 Release and disconnect electrical connector (4).    
8 Remove screws (5) and remove alternator (G2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, alternator to timing case *BA15.40-P-1001-01U 
9 Install in the reverse order.    
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when Engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the Engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10 Conduct Engine test run while checking for proper operation of the Engine.
