	Remove/install
1	Start commissioning of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (1).	If the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (1) is replaced.
			AD00.00-S-2000-04E
2	Remove front bumper.		AR88.20-S-2000E
3.1	Twist bracket (2) in the direction of the arrow (arrow A) as far as it will go and release it from the radiator grille.	Model 447 except code PS2 (AMG Line) and except code XM7 (facelift II), model 448.7 except code XM7 (facelift II), model 448.8 except code PS2 (AMG Line) and except code XM7 (facelift II)
3.2	Remove Mercedes star.	Model 447, 448.8 with code PS2 (AMG Line), except code XM7 (facelift II) Model 447 except code ZU7 (Canada national version) except code ZU8 (U.S.A. national version), model 448.8	AR88.40-S-4053EA
3.3	Remove holder (2).	Model 447, 448 with code XM7 (facelift II) To do so, release the catch hooks (arrows C). Assembly:  Make sure that the catch hooks (arrows C) are seated correctly. Clip remover	Fig 1
4	Release DISTRONIC electric controller unit (1) at the retaining tab (3) and swivel it in the direction of the arrow (arrow B) out of the bracket (2).	Model 447, 448 except code XM7 (facelift II)
5	Remove the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (1).	Model 447, 448 except code XM7 (facelift II) To do so, release and disconnect electrical connector (4). Model 447, 448 with code XM7 (facelift II) To do so, release the locks (5) on the holder (2) and remove the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (1) in the direction of the arrow (arrow B) from the holder (2). Clip remover	Fig 1
6	Install in the reverse order.
7	Connect diagnostic system.
			AD00.00-S-2000-04E
8	Perform calibration drive.	To do so, follow the diagnosis procedure described. Then remove diagnostic system.
	Check
9	Perform function check of the driver assistance system.
