| 1 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key | ||
| 2 | Remove retaining clips (7) and remove cover (8) | For damage ↓ Replace respective retaining clip (7) |

| 3 | Open quick-release coupling (3), remove catch hook (arrows A) and remove fitting (2) | ||
| 4 | Push radiator trim (1) slightly to the front, unlock locks (arrows B) and remove cover (4) | ||
| 5 | Pull DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89) out of the holder | ||
| 6 | Unlock and detach electrical connection (6) on DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89) | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 8 | Perform adjustment of the DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89) with diagnostic system | ||
