	Remove/install
1	Remove charge-air distributor.		AR09.41-P-8683SB
2	Detach the additional compressor (A64).	Engine 256.9 in model 223 with code M016 (Uprated engine) Only loosen screws, do not unscrew. Do not disconnect electrical connectors.	AR09.50-P-4770SB
3	Unclip the retaining clips (1) from the protective shield (2) and place the electric line to one side.	Dismantling tool	Fig 2
4	Remove screw (3).	Bolt, holder for low-pressure line to shield/supporting plate	*BA07.03-P-1007-01MRT
5	Remove bolts (4) and remove shield (2).	Screw, shield to fuel high-pressure pump housing/support plate	*BA07.02-P-1006-01MRT
6	Release and disconnect the electrical connector (5).
7	Unscrew screw (6) and remove knock sensor (A16/1).	Bolt, knock sensor to crankcase	*BA15.10-P-1001-02B
	Clean
8	Clean contact surfaces between knock sensor (A16/1) and crankcase.	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
9	Install in the reverse order.
	Concluding tasks
10	Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary.
