| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove left air filter housing. | AR09.10-P-1151SC | |
| 2 | Remove cover (1). | ||
| 3 | Remove steering coupling. | AR46.10-P-8000S | |
| 4 | Remove screw (2). | *BA15.18-P-1001-01G | |
| 5 | Remove the electrical connector (3), unlock and disconnect it. | ||
| 6 | Unclip retaining clip (4). | Fig 2 | |
| 7 | Push both catch tabs outward (arrows) and unclip gasoline particulate filter temperature sensor (B163/1). | Engine 176 in model 223 with code 961 (Exhaust system with OPF, generation 2.0) |

| 8 | Unscrew screw (5) and remove knock sensor (A29/2) downward. | The contact surface must be free from soiling. Malfunction of knock sensor (A29/2) will otherwise occur. |
