Remove/Install Radiator - Ar20.20-D-3865TS

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Discharge air conditioning system. Engine 651 in model 907
with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control)

2 Remove the fan.   AR20.40-D-5614TSR 
3 Remove the charge air hose upstream of the charge air cooler (9). _   AR09.41-D-8621TSR
4 Remove the charge air hose downstream of the charge air cooler (9).   AR09.41-D-8625TSR
5 Remove the hose (2) from the cooler (1).   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
6 Remove the coolant expansion reservoir.   AR20.30-D-4949TS 
7 Remove the upper hose from the coolant expansion reservoir to the cooler (1). SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers Fig 1
8 Remove front bumper.   AR88.20-D-2000TS
9 Remove the air duct segment (8) of the charge air cooler (9). IMPORTANT The air duct segment (8) is attached to the charge air cooler (9) at several points.  
10 Remove the fan unit for the condenser (3). Engine 651 in model 907

11 Remove the oil cooler for the automatic transmission from the condenser (3). Engine 651 in model 907 with transmission 722.9 AR27.55-D-1000TS
12 Remove the cover (6). Engine 651 in model 907

13 Remove the refrigerant lines (4) from the condenser (3). Engine 651 in model 907

REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.1) IMPORTANT To do so, remove nuts (5).
Seal the refrigerant lines (4) and condenser (3).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

14 Disconnect electrical connector (10). Engine 651 in model 907
with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control)

15 Remove the cooler (1). IMPORTANT For this purpose, release locks (7) and carefully push radiator (1) in direction of engine.  
16 Remove the cooler (1) upward. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the cooler (1) is positioned correctly in guides in longitudinal members.  
17 Remove hose of coolant expansion reservoir from cooler (1). If the cooler (1) is replaced. Hose clamp pliers

18 Remove the condenser (3) from the cooler (1) If the cooler (1) is replaced.

19 Remove the charge air cooler (9) from the cooler (1). If the cooler (1) is replaced. AR09.41-D-6817TS
20 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
21 Check for leaktightness when engine is running. IMPORTANT Visual inspection only.
