Remove/Install Radiator - Ar20.20-D-3865TSC

  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Discharge air conditioning system. Model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Always replace liquid reservoir.

2 Remove electric fan.   AR20.40-D-5000TSC 
3 Remove coolant expansion reservoir (3).   AR20.30-D-4949TSC 
4 Remove charge air hoses from charge air cooler.   AR09.41-D-1311-01WE
SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 1
5 Remove front crossmember.   AR62.30-D-0007TS
6 Unclip automatic transmission oil cooler and place to one side with connected lines.   AR27.55-D-1000TSC
7 Remove refrigerant line between condenser and front separating point on longitudinal member from condenser. Model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC) AR83.30-D-0008TSR
8 Remove refrigerant line between condenser and refrigerant compressor from condenser. Model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC) AR83.30-D-7830TSR
9 Disconnect electrical connector of pressure sensor for refrigerant. Model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC) AR83.30-D-5445TSF
10 Remove coolant hose (2) at radiator (1).   AR20.20-S-3865-09S 
11 Tilt cooler (1) in the direction of the engine (arrow A) and remove upward. IMPORTANT For this purpose, release retaining clips (4 using suitable tool (arrows B). Remove radiator (1) together with charge air cooler and condenser as a package.  
12 Remove condenser from cooler (1). If the cooler (1) is replaced. Model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC) AR83.30-D-6540TSC
13 Remove charge air cooler from radiator (1). If the cooler (1) is replaced. AR09.41-D-6817TSC
14 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
15 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.   AR20.00-D-1010TSC
