Engine Load Sensor

Engine load is determined by vacuum level, and throttle position. On 4 cylinder engines, an idle tracking switch signals the MCU when the throttle is closed. A vacuum switch signals wide open conditions. On 6 and V8 models, 3 vacuum switches are used to signal cruise, deceleration, and wide-open-throttle conditions. No throttle switch is used on these models.
