CPS CIRCUIT PIN IDENTIFICATION
| Circuit | PCM Pin | BOB Pin | Wire Color |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPS | 2E | 56 | YEL/BLU |
| GND | 2A | 39, 40, 44, 60 | BLK |
| GND | 2B | 20 | BLK |
| GND | 2C | 16 | BLK |
| VPWR | 1B | 37, 57 | YEL/BLK |
1) Turn ignition off. Install BOB. Leave PCM disconnected. Unplug distributor connector. Measure resistance of CPS, VPWR, and GND wires between PCM and distributor. If any resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair wire in question. If all resistances are less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
2) Turn ignition off. Unplug distributor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between distributor VPWR and GND wires. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace CPS sensor. If voltage is not more than 10 volts, repair distributor GND wire.
