Solenoid Controlled By Ground

NOTE: Enter this test only when a Code 25 is displayed during QUICK TESTS procedure or when directed here from another PINPOINT TEST.

SCG CIRCUIT PIN IDENTIFICATION

Circuit PCM Pin BOB Pin Wire Color
CANP 2P 32 YEL
IAC 2Q 41 GRN
FPRC 2K 31 BRN
BANK1 3E 58 YEL
BANK2 3C 59 YEL/BLK

1)  Turn ignition off. Connect BOB. Leave PCM disconnected. Turn ignition on. Ground appropriate BOB test terminal. If solenoid does not operate properly, go to next step. Return to QUICK TESTS if sent here from there. Solenoid is okay if it functions properly.

2)  Turn ignition off. Unplug suspect solenoid connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between VPWR wire on harness connector and ground. If voltage is higher than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, go to PINPOINT TEST VPWR.

3)  Inspect wire to solenoid for shorts or open circuit. Repair wire as necessary. If wire is okay, replace solenoid.
