NOTE: Enter this test only when codes cannot be retrieved or when directed by PINPOINT TEST STI.

STO CIRCUIT PIN IDENTIFICATION

Circuit PCM Pin BOB Pin Wire Color
STO 1B 17 GRN/BLK

1)  Turn ignition off. Install BOB, leaving PCM disconnected. Measure resistance between STO test pin and STO terminal of DLC. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair circuit between PCM and self-test connector.

2)  Measure resistance between STO test pin and ground. If resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, repair shorted STO wire. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between STO test pin and ground. If voltage is not zero, go to PINPOINT TEST PGC.
