Test E: One-Touch Down Feature Inoperative

  1. Check the master window regulator control switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Is the master window regulator control switch OK? If yes, then go to next step. If not, then replace master window regulator control switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect the master window regulator control switch connector and the power window module connector. Measure the resistance of the Blue wire between the master window regulator control switch connector and terminal No. 1 of the power window module connector. Measure the resistance of the Blue wire between the master window regulator control switch connector and ground. See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the master window regulator control switch and the power window module, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the master window regulator control switch and ground? If yes, then replace the power window module. See POWER WINDOW MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If not, then repair the Blue wire.
