Power Rear Quarter Glass Inoperative

  1. Check operation of power rear quarter glass motor in question. See POWER REAR QUARTER GLASS MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTING. If left motor operates, go to next step. If right motor operates, go to step 3). If any motor does not operate, replace motor in question.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect left power rear quarter window switch located in control panel on the roof mounted overhead console. Check switch resistance. See POWER REAR QUARTER GLASS SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTING. If switch is okay, go to step 4). If switch is defective, replace switch.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect right power rear quarter window switch located in control panel on the roof mounted overhead console. Check switch resistance. See POWER REAR QUARTER GLASS SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTING. If switch is okay, go to next step. If switch is defective, replace switch.
  4. Turn ignition off. Disconnect power rear quarter glass switch. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check voltage between ground and power rear quarter glass switch harness connector Orange/Black wire. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Orange/Black wire between switch harness connector and power window relay.
  5. Turn ignition off. Disconnect power rear quarter glass switch. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and power rear quarter glass switch harness connector Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair wire(s) between switch harness connector and suspect motor. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire.
