Pattern "A"

Drive cycle pattern "A" exercises the misfire and fuel system monitors. PCM expects to see a engine temperature increase of at least 72°F (35°C). In drive cycle pattern "A", start engine and let idle (or drive vehicle) until engine coolant temperature reaches at least 158°F (70°F). Turn engine off.
