Pattern "C"

Drive cycle pattern "C" monitors catalyst and other components. Using NGS scan tool (or generic OBD-II scan tool), monitor TP PID. Steadily accelerate to 30-35 MPH. Ensure TP voltage stays between 0.8-1.2 volt throughout acceleration portion of test. Maintain 30-35 MPH for 20 seconds. Repeat 3 times. Accelerate smoothly to 50-55 MPH, maintain this speed for 3 minutes. If a step is interrupted repeat preceding step.
