Test C: Smart Lock Does Not Operate Correctly
- Open and close driver's door, and wait 20 seconds for lights to turn off. Open and close passenger door, and wait 20 seconds for lights to turn off. If courtesy lights illuminated when door was opened and turned off 20 seconds after door was closed, go to next step. If courtesy light did not illuminate when door was opened and turn off 20 seconds after door was closed, see ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article for further testing.
- Turn ignition off. Open driver's door. If key in ignition warning chime sounds, and door locks operate normally with doors closed, replace SEC/timer module. Recheck system operation. If key in ignition warning chime sounds and door locks do not operate properly with doors closed, see POWER DOOR LOCKS - VILLAGER article. If key in ignition warning chime does not sound, repair wiring as necessary. See WARNING SYSTEMS article.
