Throttle Position Sensor

Ensure none of following conditions exist:

• Binding throttle linkage.
• Throttle Position (TP) sensor loose or not seated properly.
• Throttle plate not fully closed.

Faults in TP sensor or TP sensor circuits should set a Diagnostic Trouble Code. See QUICK TEST in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - VILLAGER article. If no DTCs are present, see TEST DH under SYSTEM TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - VILLAGER article for additional TP sensor testing and specifications.
