Knock Sensor

On 3.0L DOHC engines, Knock Sensor (KS) is on right side rear of engine, near bellhousing. On 3.0L OHV engines, KS is located on right side of engine just above oil pan. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect KS connector. Remove KS bolt and KS. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten KS bolt to specification.
