(1) Using WDS or NGS tester scan tool, retrieve and document all continuous DTCs. Perform ABS control module self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, replace ABS control module. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
(2) Repair ABS concern. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
(3) Check tires and inspect tone rings.
(4) Replace hydraulic unit.
(5) Check part numbers. Install correct module.
(6) Caused by PCM. Using scan tool, perform PCM self-test and repair powertrain control concern. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - EEC-V - GASOLINE & NGV article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
(7) Perform instrument cluster self test. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - ELECTRONIC - CROWN VICTORIA & GRAND MARQUIS article.

(1) Using WDS or NGS tester scan tool, clear and document continuous DTCs. Perform ACM self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, replace ACM.
(2) Verify no tape is in tape deck. Using WDS or NGS tester scan tool, clear and document continuous DTCs. Perform ACM self-test. If DTC B2401 is retrieved again, repair or replace ACM as necessary.
(3) Repair audio system fault.
(4) DTC does not apply to this vehicle.

(4) Using WDS or NGS tester scan tool, retrieve and document all continuous DTCs. Perform RCM self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, replace RCM. See RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

(5) Using WDS or NGS tester scan tool, retrieve and document all continuous DTCs. Perform LCM self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, replace LCM. See LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
