Removal And Installation: Column: Installation
Vehicles with console shift
- Position the steering column and connect the shift lock actuator.
Vehicles with column shift
- Position the steering column and connect the shift cable.
- Connect the brake shift interlock electrical connector.
All Vehicles
- Position the steering column and install the four nuts.
- Connect the steering column coupling and install the bolt.
- Connect the ignition switch electrical connector.
- Attach the wiring routing pin to the steering column.
- Position the wiring.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Attach the wiring routing pin to the steering column.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Position the multi-function switch and install the screws.
- Install the reinforcement.
- Position the reinforcement and install the bolts.
- Position the data link connector and install the bolts.
- Install the clockspring. Refer to CLOCKSPRING .
- If equipped with a column shift, reposition the shift indicator tube.
- Reposition the shift indicator tube and install the screw.
- Attach the shift indicator cable.
- Install the key-in-ignition warning indicator switch.
- Install the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transmitter.
- Position the PATS transmitter to the steering column.
- Install the PATS transmitter retaining screw.
- Install the tilt wheel handle and shank.
- If using the same clockspring, remove the tape.
- Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). Refer to REACTIVATION .
