The starter is a gear-reduction, permanent-magnet type motor with an externally mounted solenoid. Starting system consists of a starter motor, solenoid, battery, ignition switch, Digital Transmission Range (DTR) sensor, start inhibit relay, anti-theft relay (if equipped with anti-theft system) and interconnecting cables and wires.
