DTC Descriptions
- DTC P0300: Random Misfire Detected
DTC P0300 indicates a fluctuation is detected by PCM from data received from CKP sensor. Possible causes are as follows:- Incorrect spark plugs.
- Low cylinder compression.
- Incorrect fuel pressure.
- Fuel injector circuit is open or shorted.
- Faulty fuel injectors.
- Intake air leaks.
- Low fuel volume.
- Secondary ignition circuit is open or shorted.
- Damaged flex-plate (flywheel).
- Faulty HO2S-11.
- Incorrect distributor rotor
For DTC P0300, perform a cylinder balance test. All cylinders should respond.
- DTC P0301-P0306: Corresponding Cylinder Misfire Detected
Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor circuit is monitored by PCM. From data received from CKP sensor, test fails if a fluctuation is detected by PCM when cylinder No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 is to fire. Possible causes are as follows:- Incorrect spark plug.
- Low cylinder compression.
- Incorrect fuel pressure.
- Fuel injector circuit is open or shorted.
- Faulty fuel Injector.
- Intake air leaks.
- Low fuel volume.
- Secondary ignition circuit is open or shorted.
- Damaged flex-plate (flywheel).
- Faulty HO2S-11.
- Incorrect distributor rotor
For DTCs P0301-P0306, perform a cylinder balance test. Corresponding cylinder to DTC should respond.
