Removal And Installation: Cable: Removal

  1. Block the wheels.
  2. Disconnect the cable from the transmission selector lever and arm.

  3. Disconnect the lock tabs from the cable to the under dash bracket.

  4. Position aside the parking brake pedal assembly
    • Remove the two nuts and two bolts.

  5. Remove the shift cable to bulkhead bracket nuts.

  6. Raise and support the vehicle.
  7. Remove the splash shield.
  8. Disconnect the shift cable from the manual shift linkage rod.
    • Remove the nut.

  9. Disengage the locking pin and remove the cable from the bracket.

  10. Disconnect the shift cable from the cable bracket.
    • Remove the cable.
