2-4 Servo: Assembly

Install the fourth apply piston D-ring.
- Coat the D-ring with Motorcraft MERCON® Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or equivalent meeting Ford specification MERCON®.

Install the fourth apply piston retainer O-rings.
- Coat the O-rings with Motorcraft MERCON® Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or equivalent meeting Ford specification MERCON®.

Install the fourth apply piston into the fourth apply piston retainer.

Position a gasket on the fourth apply piston retainer.

Assemble the second apply piston.
1. Position the apply piston shaft.
2. Position the fourth apply piston return spring.
3. Position the 2-4 servo retainer.
4. Install the E -clip.

Install the second apply piston D-rings.
- Coat the D-rings with Motorcraft MERCON® Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or equivalent meeting Ford specification MERCON®.

Install the second apply piston into the second apply piston retainer.

Install the second apply piston retainer into the 2-4 servo assembly.
1. Install the piston retainer.
2. Install the return spring.
