Main Control Valve Body - Lower: Disassembly

  1. Remove the lower valve body accumulator support bolts.

  2. Remove the separator plate.
    1. Remove the accumulator support plates.
    2. Remove the separator plate.

  3. Remove the two separator plate gaskets from the separator plate.
  4. Remove the line pressure check balls.

  5. Remove the line pressure relief valve springs.

  6. CAUTION: Do not use metal picks or screwdrivers to remove the valves. Damaged valves can not be replaced. If any of the valves are damaged, the valve body must be replaced.
  7. Remove the valves from the lower control valve body.
    • Clean and inspect all valves and valve body components. If any damaged components are found, install a new valve body.
  8. Measure the valve springs free height.
    • Measure the spring from the outermost point of each end.
  9. Compare measured spring height to the specification. If the free length is out of specification, install a new lower control valve body. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS  .
