Main Control Valve Body: Disassembly

  1. Remove the filter.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the nut.
    3. Remove the filter.

  2. Remove the line pressure solenoid.
    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Remove the solenoid from the valve body.

  3. Remove the solenoids.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the solenoids from the valve body.

  4. Remove the solenoid harness.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the harness.

  5. Remove and discard the solenoid O-rings.

  6. Remove the lower control valve body valves.
    1. Remove the manual control valve.
    2. Remove the pressure control (PC) solenoid valve spring.

  7. NOTE: When separating the valve bodies, be careful to not lose any of the check balls.
  8. Disassemble the valve bodies.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the nut.
    3. Remove the lower control valve body.
    4. Remove the upper control valve body.
