Main Control - Valve Body: Installation

    CAUTION: Use the 43.5 mm (1.74 in) long bolts for this step or damage to the transaxle case or valve body may occur.
  1. Install main control valve body.
    1. Feed the wiring harness through the transaxle case.
    2. Install the 43.5 mm (1.74 in) long main control valve body bolts.

  2. CAUTION: Use the 33 mm (1.32 in) long bolts for this step or damage to the transaxle case or valve body may occur.

  3. Install the 33 mm (1.32 in) long main control valve body bolts.
  4. CAUTION: Use the 40 mm (1.6 in) long bolts for this step or damage to the transaxle case or valve body may occur.

  5. Install main control valve body bolts.
  6. Install the main control valve body harness spring clip.

  7. Install the splash shield.
    1. Install the splash shield.
    2. Install the bolts.

  8. Install the splash shield bolt.

  9. Install the LH wheel and tire assembly.

  10. Install the transaxle fluid pan and gasket. Refer to FLUID PAN, GASKET AND FILTER .
  11. Connect the transaxle harness electrical connector.

  12. NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
  13. Connect the battery ground cable.
