Main Control - Valve Body: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect the transaxle harness connector.

  3. Remove the transaxle fluid pan and gasket. Refer to FLUID PAN, GASKET AND FILTER .
  4. Remove the LH wheel and tire assembly.
  5. Remove the LH inner fender splash shield bolt.

  6. Remove the LH inner fender splash shield.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the splash shield.

  7. Remove the main control valve body harness spring clip.

  8. CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the manual valve or the accumulator piston spring when removing the main control valve body.
  9. Remove the main control valve body.
    1. Feed the transaxle harness down through the transaxle case.
    2. Remove the bolts.
    3. Remove the main control valve body.
