Transmission Control Module (TCM): Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect the module electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the smart entry control/timer (SEC) timer module connectors.
    2. Disconnect the TCM connectors.

  3. Remove the TCM bracket bolts.

  4. Remove the TCM/SEC Timer module assembly.
    • Disconnect the harness clip.

  5. Remove the SEC timer module from the TCM.
