Diagnostic Aids

Perform this test only when directed here by QUICK TEST. This test is intended to diagnose the following:

• Idle switch.
• Idle switch circuits.
• PCM.

For DTC P0510, with throttle valve fully open, TP PID should read approximately 80 percent and voltage at TP switch should be zero volt. With throttle valve fully closed, TP PID should read zero percent and voltage at closed TP switch should be battery voltage.
