Accelerator Cable Bracket - 3.0L (4V): Removal

Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
Disconnect the throttle control linkage.
1. Remove the throttle return spring.
2. Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle cam.
3. Depress the speed control cable tabs and remove the cable from the cable bracket.
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle cam.
5. Depress the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the cable bracket.

Remove the accelerator cable bracket.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the bracket.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
