Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the accelerator cable at the throttle body.
  2. Squeeze the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the bracket.

  3. NOTE: Cowl panel removed for clarity.

  4. Remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable retainer clip on the LH shock tower.
  5. Remove the accelerator cable plastic retainer from the accelerator pedal.

  6. Position the accelerator pedal and remove the accelerator cable.

  7. Using a 16-mm deep thin wall socket, slide it over the accelerator cable end, push the socket toward the dash panel to release the accelerator cable retainers and remove the accelerator cable from the engine compartment.

  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
