Selector Lever: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the center console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE article.
  3. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever.

  5. Depress the tab on the selector lever cable connector and lift up on the selector lever cable to remove it from the housing.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  9. Disconnect the wire harness from the shifter in 3 locations.

  11. Remove the RH plastic retaining clip for the carpet.

  13. Remove the LH plastic retaining clip for the carpet.

  15. Remove the 2 front shifter bolts.

  17. Remove the 2 rear shifter bolts and the shifter from the vehicle.
