Special DME and EGS Programming - Shipping Procedure

SUBJECT

In certain situations (DME crashed during SSS/DIS/GT1 programming or updated software with the corrected data not yet available), the DME TC Group can perform special reprogramming on DME or EGS control modules shipped to the Technical Service offices in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

In order to streamline the programming process, please follow the guidelines below:

In case the DME or EGS needs to be reprogrammed in NJ (crashed, update for known software problem, etc.), first submit a PuMA DME TC case to obtain a contact number.
The DME Teile Clearing group will respond, via PuMA, providing you with an approval contact number, detailed shipping instructions, your dealer FedEx account number, and your current DME or EGS module shipping charges (one way) to Woodcliff Lake.
Important Note:

Your dealer must be enrolled in the FedEx Auto Dealer program in order to utilize this control module programming service. This program qualifies your dealer for special shipping rates. Contact Kurt Penny of FedEx at (937) 748-9742 to enroll.
Ship the DME or EGS with a copy of the PuMA case (using FedEx ONLY ) to:

Include the contact number on the return address portion of the label.
After reprogramming, the DME TC Group will FedEx the DME or EGS back to the attention of the Service Manager for next business day delivery.

IMPORTANT: All shipping charges (both ways) are to be billed to the dealer's FedEx account.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

On the warranty claim, submit the FedEx shipping charges (double the amount provided to you by Technical - to cover shipment both ways) in the sublet section (using sublet code 4).

Only cases with contact numbers, and only shipment through FedEx pre-paid, will be processed.
