SITUATION

Distribution of the following tools will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your PDC. All special tools in the MINI repair manual carry the prefix "88 88 0 XXX XXX" or "90 88 0 XXX XXX". Check the prefix in the parts computer before ordering special tools from the repair manual.

TOOL INFORMATION

2 pin test cable

PN 90 88 0 649 100

Used to test the coolant temperature sensor.

1. Unplug the coolant temp sensor
2. Connect the test cable between the sensor & supply wire
3. Perform measurements as instructed by the diagnosis program

4 pin test cable

PN 90 88 0 127 360

Used to test the Intake air temp/pressure sensor.

1. Unplug the sensor
2. Connect the test cable between the sensor & supply wire
3. Perform measurements as instructed by the diagnosis program

9 pin test cable

PN 90 88 0 631 020

Used to test headlight.

1. Unplug the main headlight
2. Connect the test cable between the main headlight & supply wire
3. Perform measurements as instructed by the diagnosis program

40 pin test cable

PN 90 88 0 127 240

Used to test the EMS2000 control module.

1. Connect the test cable to the 105 pin B.O.B. 614 390
2. Unplug the 40 pin connector from the CM
3. Connect the test cable between the CM & the supply wire
4. Perform measurements as instructed by the diagnosis program

81 pin test cable

PN 90 88 0 127 250

Used to test the EMS2000 control module.

1. Connect the test cable to B.O.B. 614 380
2. Unplug the 81 pin connector from the CM
3. Connect the test cable between the CM & the supply wire
4. Perform measurements as instructed by the diagnosis program
