EGR System: Description

All vehicles are equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system to reduce NOx emissions. The EGR system partially recirculates exhaust gases from an exhaust port of the cylinder head into a port at the intake manifold below the carburetor. EGR flow is controlled by the EGR control valve and thermo valve.
