System Testing

  1. Cold start engine and run at idle until normal operating temperature. Remove Green-striped hose from injector mixer. Connect vacuum pump to hose end.
  2. Disconnect solenoid valve connector and apply 9.8 in. Hg of vacuum. If idle becomes unstable or engine stalls, system is okay.
  3. Reconnect solenoid valve connector and apply 9.8 in. Hg of vacuum to Green-striped hose removed from injector mixer. Idle should remain stable. If unstable idle occurs replace solenoid valve.
