System Quick Check

NOTE: If any problem exists in the system, check all components (including wiring harness) except the control unit. If all components check out, replace the control unit
  1. With vehicle stationary, operate engine for at least 5 seconds. Turn the ignition key to "LOCK" position and step on the brake pedal. Turn the ignition key to "ON" position and confirm the clicking sound of the operating modulator.
  2. Raise rear of vehicle, support on stands, and block front wheels. Warm up engine and place transmission in second gear. Accelerate to a steady 19 MPH.
  3. With accelerator held at 19 MPH, step on the brake pedal suddenly. The brakes should attempt to slow the rotation of the rear wheels. Then, because fluid is cut-off, the wheels should resume normal rotation.
