Component Testing & Inspection: Resistor
- Disconnect electrical connector from resistor. Connect Harness (MD998459 ) to resistor side of disconnected connector. Measure resistance across terminals No. 1 and 2, then 1 and 3. See Fig 1. If resistance is between 5.5 and 6.5 ohms, resistor is good.
- If resistance measures zero, or is abnormally large, resistor has short or open circuit. Replace resistor.
