Clutch Assembly: Installation

  1. Install disc with manufacturers stamped mark (near splines on clutch hub) facing toward pressure plate on clutch cover. Use centering tool or clutch aligner to center disc on flywheel and install cover bolts finger tight.
  2. Alternately and evenly tighten cover bolts (a few turns at a time) to specified torque setting. Apply light coating of grease on all sliding and pivoting surfaces. Check clutch pedal for free movement and adjust clutch.

  2. Alternately and evenly tighten cover bolts (a few turns at a time) to specified torque setting. Apply light coating of grease on all sliding and pivoting surfaces. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check clutch pedal for free movement and adjust clutch.
