REPROGRAMMING OLDER MODELS - All models except 1995 - 1999 Eclipse 420A . To conduct a reflash where the instructions refer to using MUT-II, remember that the MUT-III replaced the MUT-II for all functions except for reflashing Eclipses with the 420A power plant. When reflashing non CAN-BUS vehicles, you can use the MUT-III VCI in stand alone mode (not connected to the laptop). Don't forget to connect both connectors when reflashing non-CAN-BUS vehicles. See TSB-03-00-016 for additional information. For reprogramming 420A equipped Eclipse models, follow the instructions on the applicable TSB for using the MIT992000-A.
